While some workout studios are still embracing the outdoor workout experience, others are offering indoor classes for those who are fully vaccinated, just in time for rising temperatures and steaming humidity.
Be sure to bring your vaccination card—or a photo of it—along with an ID to class.
Location: 1101 Rhode Island Ave., NW
As of June 1, this HIIT team training studio is open for indoor workouts at the location in Logan Circle, and participants are no longer required to wear a face mask. (There are also outdoor locations at 14th Street and Union Market, both of which are open to all, regardless of vaccination status.)
Locations across the D.C., MD and Northern VA area
With 16 locations in the DMV, this intense workout combines pilates and strength training that will leave you sweating and shaking throughout. To train at one of the studios, you’ll need to bring your vaccination card—or a photo of it—to class, and note the mask requirements (in the class name), which vary based on the schedule and local mandates.
Locations across D.C.
With locations both indoor and outdoor across the District, these yoga studios are now offering vaccinated-only and vaccinated-optional/mask-required indoor classes. On the schedule, the class title will note whether masks are required or optional.
1722 I St., NW
For a personalized strength and circuit training experience, 202Strong offers a 45-minute full body workout with a strength cycle, high-intensity circuit and drills. If you’re vaxxed up, you don’t need to wear a mask while participating in indoor classes.
Past Tense Yoga
3221 Mt. Pleasant St., NW
The community-oriented Mt. Pleasant yoga studio is offering vaccinated-only classes taught by vaccinated staff. To attend, you’ll need to email a photo of your vaccination card to the studio, which will be saved for future visits. Masks are not required in vaccinated-only classes, but are required in classes with youngsters, including Kids Yoga and Young Adult Yoga.
Barre3 14th Street

The Logan Circle location of this barre studio—where you can find a heart-pumping workout that combines strength, cardio and mindfulness—offers a couple of vaccination-only classes per week. Students may choose to remove masks during workouts (but must keep them on in common areas).
Locations across northern Virginia
YogaSix features a variety of vinyasa class types from intense and challenging to slow and mindful. Students who are fully vaccinated are now invited to practice without a face mask for all indoor classes.
