Since starting V+B in 2016, we have been on a mission to make it easy to live a healthy lifestyle while being kind to the planet and supporting our local community—all at a fair price. This mission has meant that we have never raised the prices on our meal programs.

Over the last five years, we have endured significant increases in costs across our entire supply chain, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here's a sampling of what's changed since early 2020:

It's vital to us that we provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive workplace for our team. In the last year, we began providing healthcare for our employees, and we offer starting wages that are well above the District of Columbia's requirements.

To continue to prepare and deliver fresh, flavorful meals with locally sourced ingredients, and to stay true to our environmental and human resource values, we will be changing our pricing structure starting in December.

The Vegetable’s Basket subscription will start at $11.50 per meal and the Butcher’s Box program will begin at $12.50 per meal when ordering for the entire week—up from $11.00 and $12.00, respectively. The most you’ll ever pay is $14.49 per meal (Vegetable’s Basket) and $15.99 per meal (Butcher’s Box) when ordering two meals per week—up from $12.50 and $13.50, respectively. 

Pricing on all other items will remain the same and delivery will still be free (don’t worry, we’re not fans of fees on top of fees either).
